"We have had State Farm policies for years for vehicles and home. Our vehicle policies include the emergency tow service option. We needed to use the emergency tow option recently. We had an engine light and another warning light come on while we were 65 miles from home. We phoned a tow truck and had the truck towed the 65 miles to the dealership service center located where we lived. This was on a Friday evening. We contacted our agent on Monday to learn the procedure for submitting the tow receipt for reimbursement. Brad’s assistant gave us contact info to contact State Farm claims. We emailed a copy of the tow receipt to the claims center. A week went by and we had no reimbursement nor any contact. We again reached out to our agent who contacted the claims center on our behalf. We did receive a call from a claims person who advised only 25 miles of the 65 miles billed could be reimbursed besides the tow charge and taxes. That was $200 less than the submitted receipt. We recently had a face-to-face with our agent and expressed our displeasure with the reimbursement shortage. Nowhere in the “small print” had we read there were mileage restrictions for a tow. Our agent also believed there were none and submitted a question to claims on our behalf. We are happy to report that we had a call from State Farm claims over the weekend and their review after the agent inquiry was decided in our favor. We were paid the $200 balance. "I recently switched to Brad Rehfeldt- State Farm Insurance because they had the best rates of any Company I checked with and the Agent took plenty of time to talk with me and didn't sound like he was just trying to sell Insurance. I thought it was a great price. I agreed to their "safe driving" deal and a week or two later I got a partial refund in the mail that actually surprised me. There's a small device you sort of "sync" with your phone, place in your glovebox, and you get the reward just for driving your usually safe routine! I think it's s great deal. I've been a safe driver forever and have never been rewarded before. Check it out!"
